Why Attack on NHRC
VHP president advocate Alok Kumar said the judge attacked the NHRC. The judge alleged that the NHRC has never taken cognizance of cases in which members of the Muslim community have been attacked and in some cases they have been beaten and killed by justice… Not sure if NHRC has ever automatically taken note of such cases where Gunde take law in their hands and harass common citizens of the country…
The judge’s comments were so inappropriate that the other judge of the bench, Justice Vivek Saran, expressed dissent. He expressed his disagreement saying that he “disagrees with the order given by Bhai Justice Atul Sridharan”.The VHP president clearly states that he believes that lynching of any person, whatever their religion, is reprehensible, illegal and punishable. Those who commit crimes, regardless of religion, must face the consequences. The perpetrators do not belong to any religion and their acts are against civil society as a whole.
